This is to announce that the “Short Course on Safe and Green Hospitals” to be offered by the University of the Philippines Manila College of Public Health’s Department of Health Policy and Administration has been moved from May 13 – 17, 2013 to May 27 – 31, 2013.
 
We are forwarding the pertinent information on this short course for your reference and guide.
 
We hope that either you or your representative can attend this pilot short course.
 
We have lined up experts who have a solid track record on the covered topics (DOH standards and requirements, hospital maintenance, hospital equipment maintenance, safe hospitals [e.g., fires, earthquake, flooding], green hospitals, planning and implementing safe and green hospitals, disaster preparedness planning and management, public-private partnerships in the health care sector).

Short Course on Safe and Green Hospitals

                                              MAY 27-31, 2013

 

Objectives:

  1. To update the participants on the standards, requirements, and guidelines of the Department of Health in relation to the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of government and private hospitals, especially in relation to safe and green hospitals;
  2. To update the participants on how to plan and operate “safe” hospitals and to share best practices including disaster preparedness planning and management;
  3. To update the participants on hospital preventive maintenance and equipment planning and equipment maintenance;
  4. To update the participants on how to plan and operate “green” hospitals and to share best practices;
  5. To conduct a group activity in relation to the application of the concepts, principles, and techniques involving safe and green hospitals;
  6. To update the participants on the national government’s efforts to implement public-private partnerships in relation to government hospitals

Course Fee:

The course fee shall be PhP 10,000.00. This shall include a training certificate, mid-morning, and mid-afternoon snacks, a course pack and CD containing all lectures, a batch directory, and a class picture.
